19 DASC Records fall at SNSC17
The record breaking doesn't stop!!!
A fab weekend of swimming at the Scottish National Short Course Championships at the Royal Commonwealth Pool. A massive 19 club short course records were broken.
First up the girls - Well done to Niamh for smashing the 13 year old girls 50m backstroke, completing a set of club records once again.
Not to be outdone Ava lowered her own 50m free 14 year old girls record on the lead leg of the relay. Ava also lowered her own 100m breast record. To cap the weekend off Ava also smashed two long standing 14 year old girls record in the 200 back and 50 breast.
Gemma continued to break records in the 16 year old girls age group by lowering her own records in the 50m and 100m freestyle as well as in the 50m backstroke.
Not to be outdone, girls Club Captain Sophiein the 17 years and over age group took the 200m freestyle club record. Massive well done to the four girls.
Now for the boys - Bryce set two new records in the 14 year old boys age group. He not only lowered his own 50m butterfly club record he took another long term club record in the 100m butterfly, this one having stood for 8 years.
Owen kept up the momentum of the 14 year old boys age group and lowered five of his current club records in the 50m, 100m, 200m backstroke events and also in the 100m and 200m Individual Medley events.
The older age group of males(17 & over) weren't to be outdone. Luke setting a new Dumfries ASC 50m freestyle record as well as lowering his own 50m breaststroke record.
Lastly, in his final competition with Dumfries Blair signed off with a new Dumfries ASC record in the 17 and over age group in the 100m breaststroke lowering his own record set at our Advent Meet. Well done Blair.
A huge congratulations to all our record setters and a special mention to the senior 4 x 50m freestyle male relay team who set a new Club Record in that event this weekend too!!
On to the final meet of the S/C season this weekend with a plethora of swimmers competing at the Cumbernauld Christmas Sprints, good luck to all!
