EXPERIENCE THE THRILL OF OPEN WATER…
With open water season in full swing we wanted to draw your attention to the exciting list of open water events we have in the calendar for 2017 which are suitable for beginners through to advanced swimmers and for ages 10 upwards.
COME AND TRY EVENTS
The Come and Try events are recommended for those with little or no open water experience. Juniors can participate from 10 + along as they can swim 200m and there are separate adult sessions too for all abilities.
Knockburn Sports Loch Banchory (includes an Aquathlon in the afternoon)
If you are up for more of a challenging, longer distance swim then our challenge events are ideal for you. Available for 13 years upwards, you can choose from 1 kilometre, ½ mile or 1 mile depending on the event below. Do you want to raise money for a good cause or even just challenge yourself?
Loch Venachar (½ mile or 1 mile swim)
Loch Ken (1 km swim)
OPEN WATER CHAMPIONSHIPS
For the more experienced swimmer the Open Water Championships take place on 12th and 13th August at Loch Venachar. This is open to Scottish Swimming members.
