Our History
Founded in 1964
Dumfries Amateur Swimming Club has been part of the fabric of the Dumfries community for over six decades. Founded in 1964, the club has grown from a small group of local enthusiasts into one of the region's most respected competitive swimming clubs.
Our dedication to excellence was recognised when we were named as a 2019 Scottish Swimming Club of the Year finalist — an honour that reflects the hard work and commitment of our members, coaches, and volunteers.
We believe that swimming is for everyone. Whether you are taking your first strokes or aiming for national competition, DASC is the place to grow, compete, and belong.

DASC is a Disability Confident registered organisation. We are committed to ensuring that our club is accessible and welcoming to swimmers of all abilities and backgrounds.
We are proud to partner with The Usual Place, offering job shadowing opportunities for their team at our home meets — including timekeeping, meeting and greeting spectators, and presenting awards. This partnership reflects our belief that a swimming club's role in its community extends well beyond the pool.
From the youngest junior in Foundation squad to our Masters swimmers, every member is a valued part of the DASC family.
